Farming chemicals

How can we communicate to farmers who grow corn and soy the desirability of using 10% less of the highly persistent and toxic weed killers like atrazine? It turns out that farmers already do everything they can to minimize the amount of atrazine they use – because of the high cost of this product. They are therefore not open to calls to use “a bit less” than what they perceive as the absolute minimum that they currently use. On the other hand, these farmers are very open to going organic for economic reasons.
