As policy debates around this issue are heating up around the country, ethnographic conversations in multiple regions, across gender, age, race and class, finds starkly opposed progressive positions on the issue: one for and one against decriminalizing the sex industry. Age matters: older people tend to have a “protect women” mindset and younger people tend to embrace a “my body, my choice” mindset.
